Collier's Photographic Record of the Russo-Japanese War Customer Reviews

:
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from j120660 -- Excellent seldom seen photographs : The photographs in this book are of a war that has been mostly forgotten but played such a large role in the balance of world power. In 1904 Japan was not taken seriously as a major power and Russia with a standing army of over 1 million men was one of the world’s superpowers, yet in 18 months Japan thoroughly defeated Russia’s army and sank or captured all 3 of it fleets.
